•Origin: Taiwu Township, at 900-1,200 meters on Taiwan's Central Mountains, has ideal conditions for growing specialty coffee. Pingtung's Aboriginal tribes lead Taiwan in coffee production.

•Coffee planting method: Planted in a semi-sun climate, using organic farming methods, irrigated by natural rain and dew, using the ecological food chain to eliminate insects and artificial weeding.

•How to harvest coffee beans: The fruits are harvested manually to ensure that each coffee bean is fully mature.

• Post-Harvest Processing: There are three post-processing methods for coffee beans: "washing method", "honey processing method" and "sun-drying method" to bring out its unique flavor.

•Coffee taste: Taiwu Township Manor Coffee has a smooth, mellow taste, no bitterness or harsh acidity, with a fruity and pleasant aroma and a sweet aftertaste. The fresh coffee fruit has passed eight heavy metal and 203 pesticide inspections to ensure high quality.

Historical Background:

Taiwan's coffee culture originated during the Japanese colonial period (1895- 1945). At that time, the Japanese introduced coffee seedlings to Taiwan and began to plant them in tribes in the southern mountainous areas. Taiwan's terrain and climate are very suitable for coffee cultivation. The coffee produced locally is of high quality, with mellow aroma, rich taste and distinct layers. Due to the excellent quality of these coffee beans, they were even sold back to Japan for the royal family to enjoy.

Origin Coffee:

Taiwu Township is a mountain tribe in Taiwan, located on the south ridge of the Central Mountains and on the west side of Beidawu Mountain.

The altitude ranges from 900 to 1,200 meters above sea level, and the average temperature throughout the year is about 22 to 27 degrees Celsius. The soil here is rich in microelements, and well- drained. The region receives morning sunlight and is shaded in the afternoon, with a significant temperature difference between day and night, making it ideal for cultivating specialty coffee trees. Pingtung Aboriginal tribes are currently the area with the largest coffee production in Taiwan.

Variety:

The coffee variety grown in the Pingtung region is Typica, one of the closest to the original Arabica varieties. Typica beans are slightly longer, with a lemon-sour taste, a sweet and clean flavor, and rich floral and fruity notes. The aftertaste is sweet and elegant, although Typica is known for its strict growing conditions, low resistance to leaf rust, and its yield is relatively small.
